Week 2

October 22, 2012
Hello everyone!
Well we didn't have a baptism this week, Guillermo had to go to Lima for an emergency there and well...that kinda sucked but...yeah...
Tuesday was fun, P-Day for the changes and we went to Sillustani, which are a bunch of towers where the Incas burried their dead. It was AWESOME! And next week I'll send photos from there. At night we had a few appointments but some fell through and we found ourselves contacting and as I was talking to a woman that didn't really want to listen to us I had a complete epiphany. I realized that I didn't have time for maybe nor anything like that, only yes would do. I'm going to be leaving here soon and if I want to be at my best. It's the only way that I can finish this, the only way!
This week we ran into a few cool people, one of them is Elizabeth. We found her contacting and she is AWESOME! Understands everything and wants to be baptized. We also found a few others and it's just been an awesome week. The Lord is blessing us for having worked so hard for so long with little result. We are sure that we are going to have a good number of baptisms in November to end it.
So, as you might be able to tell I'm running out of stuff to write about so if you could send questions or something that would be great!
Till the next!

Subject: Punolandia

What's up everybody?

So looks like I'm going to end here in Puno, which is pretty awesome!  I'm pretty psyched about that and we are hoping to have a ton of success here in my last me those are some of the weirdest words in the English and/or Spanish language.  Last change.  It doesn't feel like two years ago tomorrow that the Yotes opened at home to the Red Wings and got wrecked by bad reffing, then the next day I gave my farewell talk in our ward sounding like a 60-year-old smoker.  Ahh, fun times.... Anyways, it's just really amazing that I'm at this point of my mission.

This week was pretty good, we found Guillermo again and placed a date for the 20th.  We also have found a few other cool people that I think will progress.  I really want to end well and we are working our butts off so that the sector and the zone can be in a good place.

I don't know, don't have a lot to say in a general way, so I guess I'll leave it at that till next week...

Another Week in Puno

Monday, October 01, 2012 9:15 AM

 Hi everyone!

It's been a fun week, though a bit stressful.  Our landlord raised the price on our room so we had to find a new one which we've done but today we have to move out, since it's first of the month.  So, with that I'm going to write this up fast so we can get this done.  Anyways, I think I'll do a rundown because that seems to be the fastest way to get this done.

Mon: A fun P-Day of futbol and what not, the normal.

Tue: A good work day, we did a visit with Llavini (where Elder Velarde is, the elder I trained) and I was with him during the day.  It's fun to be able to work with old comps and even more fun when you have success with them!

Wed:  District meeting and the usual stuff, a normal average fun day.

Thu:  Divisions with Mirador, we found a cool family that is interested and we'll see how they progress and it was fun to be able to get a lot of work done then.

Fri:  Sometimes other missions ask for things from us, like birth certificates and stuff like that so that someone in their mission can get married or whatever it may be.  That is how we spent Friday, going all around town looking for a certificate that didn't exist.  But it was interesting to see how it worked I guess, but after figuring all that out we went to work and found a few new people that see fairly interested.

Sat: Work, baptisms more work and some not as awesome stuff.  All week we have been looking for Guillermo (from last week) and have been unable to find him.  We are hoping he is just busy but....Anyways, we ended the week without a baptism which kinda sucked but we know that we'll have them before the changes.

Sun: Church, visiting some inactives and starting to pack up the room for today.  We had no idea that there were 15 boxes of pamphlets and Books of Mormon in our room so there was a lot of consolidating and figuring out were to put stuff but now we are ready for our new room.

I think that about does it for that part of the letter, now for QUESTIONS!

Any luck on a Canon 5D mark III?

--Still nothing, maybe they don't have it yet...

Do you ever see or know of anyone that runs down there?

--Never have seen it, maybe it's too high.  But if I could find someone willing enough (or crazy enough) to do it with me I would.

Do you ever have problems with the police or are the cool to you?

---We haven't ever had problems with them, they are afraid of messing with Gringos, apparently with how Peru is a major tourism place they don't want to mess that up.

Well, that's about it, so till next week!
