Another Week

September 17, 2012

So, funny story.  I read the notes about Snuggles and audibly said, 'Oh crap, my dog died!' to which Elder Heninger replied 'WHAT?!!! YOUR MOM DIED?!!!'  'NO! MY DOG!' 'Oh, because that would have been a lot worse how I heard that....' putting that into perspective, he has a very good point.  Snuggles was a great dog and I'm going to miss her a lot.  She was awesome but everything some day needs to end, and at least she knew we loved her.  Kinda put a damper on the day that whole thing...

Anyways, it's been a great week with a lot of work and a lot of fun, I guess we'll just run it down!

Mon: Zone meeting, Internet, P-Day!  A great day in a great place!

Tue: The highlight of the day was starting the Mini-MTC with a family in Azoguine.  It's a new program that we are using in the mission that helps people learn more about how to share the Gospel and the basic stuff that we learn there.  The family is really great and extremely enthusiastic to be able to help us with it.  It's a great program and maybe I'll explain more about it on a slow week.

Wed: We had an appointment with Arturo and it was okay until we challenged him to baptism.  He stopped talking then looked at us seriously and said that he wanted to be baptised.  The week before another church had challenged him to baptism but he didn't feel anything but with us he did!  It was a great experience and an awesome testament of the power of the spirit.

Thu: Some awesome lessons and some cool new people, a great day.
Fri: There was a HUGE parade here in Puno for the university's anniversary and not a lot of people weren't there but we found two awesome people and it turned out well.

Sat/Sun: Church, baptisms in the zone, and the hole nine-yards, just a great time.

That wraps up the week and well, I know it's not a lot but, not exactly what I was planning on writing either but with Snuggles....Keep on trucking where toilets flush normally (I really have never paid attention either there or here to know if that is true...) and we'll talk next week.
